The city of short distances
Located in the middle of Germany, with excellent transport connections, and just under 200 km² in size. That is Braunschweig: the city of short distances. As soon as you arrive in the city, Braunschweig is already revealing its unique features to you: located at the intersection of the European North-South and East-West transport axes, the city can be easily reached by car. It is also just as easy to reach by train, with a journey time from Berlin to Braunschweig, for example, of only one hour and 20 minutes or about two hours from Hamburg.
But whatever station your participants will be setting out from, with the ‘Veranstaltungsticket’ (event ticket) offered by Deutsche Bahn, they can travel to and from Braunschweig for a fixed fare. Almost 200 trains arrive in Braunschweig and leave again every day, sometimes bound for international destinations. There is also the nearby Hannover- Langenhagen airport, which is about an hour by train from Braunschweig. Or you can use the Airport Hopper, which will bring you and your guests comfortably to your congress venue and back again. When you need to get from A to B in Braunschweig, you will appreciate the short transfer times and relaxed walking distances. Your guests will appreciate it, too. industrial estate to the gates of the city? Just a few minutes by car or bus.
From the park to the city centre? Only a few steps. As an example: Your meeting is being held in the Stadthalle and you want to go to the Steigenberger Parkhotel afterwards. Your journey time by taxi or bus is only around ten minutes. This gives you more time to get to know the Lion City and all of the interesting things it has to offer.
